On the occasion of Pongal function, a grand celebration was held on our college on

13.01.2024. In which United college of physiotherapy, United Institute of technology, United

college of pharmacy, United college of nursing, United college of medical 

participated. Pongal cooking competition, Rangoli competition and

cultural performance were conducted and our students from United college of Physiotherapy participated.

The special guests of the event were Dr. C A. M. Kailash Kumar, Managing Trustee of

United Educational Institutions, Mr. V. Arun Karthikeyan, Secretary, UEI, Dr .S. Deepana, Head,

Rotary Coimbatore elite, Dr. Mohanasundari, managing trustee, KJ Sharp Trendees, Mr.

Gurumoorthi, CEO, Virtual tech gurus, Dr. K.S. Amirthagadeshwaran, Advisor, UEI, Prof.D.

Edwin josephraj, Vice principal (Rtd), UEI, And Dr. P. Sivakumar, director, UEI. The event

was headed by Shri.S.Shanmugam, Founder and Chairman of United Educational Institutions.

The grand show commenced by the arrival of Chief guest, Chairman, Students, Staffs and

Principal of United College of Physiotherapy and Principals of other sister institutions of UEI.

After the arrival of the guests, Rangoli competition was started by 8.00am and end by 9.00am in

this our students from each batch participated as three teams. The chief guest inspected each

Rangoli and Mr. Gurumoorthi who is a guest of the event awarded first price to Poorani and team,of II year

B.P.T . After rangoli, Pongal cooking competition was flagged by guest Prof. D.Edwin Josephraj,

Prices were awarded in two categories, First Pongal which is cooked first price was won by Second

year (2022 batch)students and Best tasting Pongal  was won by Third year BPT (2021 batch)students.

This was followed by traditional games and  Uriyadi. After rangoli and Pongal competition valedictory function started shortly. Shri.S.Shanmugam,

Founder and Chairman of United Educational Institutions, welcomed The special guests of the

event and Faculties and students. Followed by welcome address Dr.CA.M.Kailash Kumar, Mr.

V. Arun karthikeyan, Dr.S.Deepana, Dr. Mohanasundari, Mr. Gurumoorthi, Dr. K.S.

Amirthagadeshwaran, Prof.D. Edwin Josephraj, addressed the crowd and each institution’s

Principals honored all the special guests. Cultural performance from UCPT was staged and function

ended with Vote of thanks given by Dr. P. Sivakumar, director, UEI.
