World Obesity day was observed on March 4 th 2022 by United college of Physiotherapy, Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore. Various awareness programs and events were conducted on the theme ‘Movement for Health’. Dr.P.Sivakumar, Director, United Educational Institution, spoke about ‘Psychological counselling for Obesity’. Seminar on causes of Obesity, various Exercise and fitness programs help to prevent complications of obesity were conducted by Professor Mrs. S.Benazir, Principal, United college of Physiotherapy and Mrs. T.Krishnaveni, lecturer, United college of Physiotherapy. Poster presentation was done by students of United college of Physiotherapy.
