WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL

The objective of the cell is to empower female students and faculty members, deepen their understanding of women's issues, and ensure a safe campus environment for girls and women. It also aims to address practical concerns related to the welfare and equal opportunities for women faculty, staff, and students.
In pursuit of addressing women's issues and challenges, the cell endeavors to raise awareness about their rights and responsibilities. It offers a platform for women to share their experiences and perspectives on their societal status. Additionally, the cell focuses on the intellectual and social development of female students through guest lectures, seminars, awareness programs, and other welfare initiatives.
Vision: Our vision is to enhance the overall well-being of female students, teaching staff, and non-teaching female employees of the college. We aim to cultivate a dignified and supportive work environment for women, enabling them to explore their full potential in all aspects of life.
Mission: Our mission is to equip women with a diverse range of skills and knowledge, fostering their social, economic, and intellectual capabilities for the betterment of society's peace, security, and prosperity.

Objectives:
  1. Identifying and nurturing strong female leadership and change-makers.
  2. Promoting a culture of respect and equality for women.
  3. Organizing awareness programs on gender sensitization.
  4. Providing opportunities and programs for women to achieve financial, mental, and emotional empowerment.
  5. Hosting seminars to raise awareness about the economic, social, political, and legal rights of women.
  6. Conducting activities to promote women's health, sports, and self-defense.
  7. Organizing competitions to encourage artistic talents and foster creative thinking among women.
  8. Emphasizing the importance of spirituality, health, hygiene, and safety.
  9. Observing International Women's Day on March 8th every year.

Self-Defence Program for Girls

Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) jointly organised "A Self-Defence Program for Girls". Er. S. Shanmugam Founder & Chairman, United Educational Institutions presided over the function. Mr. Francis Xavier, Managing Trustee, Outreach Foundation India was the chief guest and Self-Defence trained the students.
